Toldi Live // Morphine tribute est
[ 0301 ] Thursday — Toldi Live // Morphine tribute est
Morphine was one of the most badass cult bands of the 90's. With its absolutely distinctive, melancholic sound, the power trio formed by Mark Sandman, Dana Colley and Jerome Deupree remains to be held as a category on its own right on the alternative rock secene of the 90's. Their music had nothing of what had come to be identified as standard rock: they had no guitar, instead Sandman played a two-srtring slide bass accompanied only by a drummer and a saxophonist who was often blowing on two instruments simultaneously. Unprecedented in Budapest, a true all-star group of underground musicians has joined forces to pay their tribute:
Soma Nóvé (Middlemist Red): Vocals
Adam Czitrom (Czitrom-Porteleki Duo, Jazzékiel): Two-string slide-bass
Viktor Kapusi (The Best Bad Trip): Saxophone
Áron Porteleki (12z, Gnú): Drums
